KARI JENSEN THOMAS

Owner/officer Kari Jensen Thomas has a background in both marketing and law. Kari graduated from Augustana College in 1992 with a B.A. degree in Government-International Affairs and Business Administration. In 1995, she graduated from William Mitchell College of Law and began a clerkship with a Minneapolis judge while preparing students for the bar examination in seven states. Kari has also worked as the Director of Marketing & Operations for a legal placement company, as Associate Director for Career Services at a Twin Cities' law school, and, currently works as a Recruiting Specialist for a prominent Twin Cities' law firm. Fortunately for SGI, Kari had worked for a start-up company before-though not related to the game or gift industry—and thus was no stranger to the hard work it takes to build a company from the ground up, establish market share, and run the operations side. In addition to marketing and selling the Chick Game, Kari is responsible for all of the financial aspects of SGI's business.
GINA SAUER

Owner/officer Gina Sauer graduated from Luther College in 1986 with a B.A. degree in Communications and English. She graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 1990, and was an associate at Minneapolis' oldest law firm for four years. Thereafter she worked briefly as a headhunter, and eventually landed as Assistant Dean at a Twin Cities' law school. During her tenure as Assistant Dean, she also served as president of a national professional association, which armed her with valuable experience in writing business plans, spotting marketing opportunities and serving as a media spokesperson. Currently, she is a consultant with a Twin Cities' legal placement firm, and is working on several writing projects. She also has prior experience promoting a string of bands in which she has sung over the past decade.
COLLEEN WALZ

Owner/officer Colleen Walz has a B.A. degree in Communication-Written Concentration from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, and focused much of her elective coursework in college in the areas of editing, graphic design and desktop publishing. She brings to SGI extensive professional and freelance editing, graphic design and web editing experience. Colleen is the designer of The Chick Game's eye-catching logo, as well as the company's cute, colorful web site—the first site she has ever designed from start to finish. In addition to serving as the company's graphic designer and webmaster, Colleen also assists with the SGI's marketing and sales efforts, and is responsible for graphic design work and desktop publishing for SGI's marketing pieces. Colleen works in recruiting for a prominent Twin Cities' law firm. In addition, Colleen also works as a freelance editor, and graphic and web designer.
